Okay guys, so its been the second day of the summer program and I have to say that all the negative posts and previous experiences are very different comparing to what I think of the program. First off my class has about 15 people in it and it is by far not just a class where you dont have to do anything. You are taking notes, assigned labs, projects, and reading A LOT of text and answering questions that are not simply yes or no. Also, I'm a commuter and I've been having a lot of fun! Its not hard to meet people you just have to be social and not just sit in the corner by yourself ! lol No but, its a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot. For example my class makes me read a lot of stuff and I really have to think way outside the box trying to answer "why" a certain thing happens and what can be done to stop it. As for the afternoon break....2 1/2 hours is A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME. You can basically do whatever you want and or go where ever you want. So yeah, its been only my second day and the people that I've met and all the fun I've had is greatttttt. I like Columbia a lot!

Agreed. It’s against my instinct to be social though. Haha, but I’m residential so I have more time here.

hahah, yeah you definitely have time. Is it just me or are you like getting insane amounts of hw!

I have next to no homework, but that is because we have not done any labs yet. I am in Biomolecular Engineering though.
