who are they?

i say upenn

Probably dartmouth - shares ranks on usnews.

any ivy plus some others

Columbia does not have any true rival (like Harvard v. Yale) but any Ivy league game is considered a fairly large contest.

i always though columbia's rival was princeton.

lion vs tiger

anyway, a ot of columbian called princeton princesston.

I would say that Columbia has the most rivalry feel towards Princeton. Harvard and Yale being the oldest and 2nd oldest Ivies, Princeton and Columbia the 3rd and 4th.

I think columbia's rival is Queens Community College.... but then again, I'm highly biased against columbia and didnt apply

They why do you bother to visit the boards and then to post???Go to Queens CC boards.

Nyu...........

only in location

If there was any logic to rivalries, Penn would be Columbia's rival. They are the two Ivies located in a solidly urban environment, and the two best Ivies below HYP (clearly above Cornell Brown Dartmouth).

I think Columbia has a prettier campus and NYC is definitely a bigger better city, but I still like Penn more. Go figure!

cornell possibly ?

Cornell, NY rivals. You guys should take a look at the Cornell vs. Columbia football game every year. Plus, Penn and Columbia is not clearly above Cornell, Brown and Dartmouth. In terms of overall academics, Columbia, Cornell and Penn are pretty comparable.

Academics is but a small part of college, my boy.

admissions to columbia is harder, too

Uh, what else are you talking about exactly, JohnnyK?

We don't have a rival and we like it that way.
