Combining SAT and ACT scores

I applied ED I to the SCS and I was wondering if admissions would superscore my SAT and ACT together.

SAT - 770 math, 650 reading, 580 writing (2000)
ACT - 30 comp, 33 english, 29 math, 35 reading, 24 science, 30 english/writing

Do you think they will in a sense combine my SAT math score and my ACT reading and english scores?

Nope
It doesn’t happen like that. But they can see the good scores in both and go from there.

Obviously I see your concern…high verbal in one exam and high math in the other. It’s a really mismatch-- a 580 is bad, but you make up for it in the ACT, but likewise the 28/24s are odd – so SCS will be concerned.

You’re just going to have to wait it out.

My advice given that SCS is so competitive is to write your essay with a double major focus and apply to another program within CMU that makes sense for your interests and background.

Alright thanks. I think my numbers just show how inaccurate these tests are. But I have already applied and my essay has already been written so I can’t change that.
