Hi, so I'm fairly worried about my chances/colleges, and though I have a low gpa, I also have some special circumstances. So please, chance me :)
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Male
I go to a fairly competitive public school, 5-10 students go to Ivies each year and a bunch more to Berkeley/top UC's
GPA: 3.34UW/3.75W
Top 25% in my school
Though my gpa is fairly low and I'm only in top 25%, my school has MASSIVE grade deflation (we don't count honors/a few AP's, weird school huh?), so my GPA is probably actually a bit higher.

AP/Honors classes list: Honors freshman English, Honors Geometry, Honors soph English, AP Euro, Honors Pre-calc, AP Bio, AP Eng, APUSH, AP Psych
4 on all AP exams except 5 on Bio
I am currently taking: AP Calc BC, AP Macroecon, AP Compsci, English Lit, Art

SAT: 800w, 750cr, 750math (2300)
ACT: 35 Composite (Don't remember breakdown)

Subject Tests:
-Biology(M): 720
-Math II: 800
-US History: 750
-World History: 710

Extracurriculars:
-Internship at _______ University, research on studying the dead box gene (some other stuff). The university is very prestigious (Top 20 US), I contacted the professor by myself.
-Community Service Club vice president, I created two large fundraisers that raised over $2500, one for poor families, the other for Japan
-Volunteered in China over a summer teaching english, 2 weeks(This is NOT from those places that sell extracurricular activities for college, I found this program myself, and had to find ways to pay for my own airfare/etc since I'm poor :P)
-Piano, Level 10 CM
-Invited to Cultural and Green Summer Conference, 3 days long with many prominent scientists
-Science Olympid member
-~300 hours community service
-Worship director at my church

Awards:
-3rd place in a regional science fair
-AP Scholar with Distinction
-National Merit Semifinalist (229 PSAT)
-National Latin Exam Silver Medal

Work Experience:
-I work at a math academy teaching classes (teaching, not just tutoring) for subjects including SAT II math, pre calc, and below. This takes up a big chunk of my time, around 2-4 hours each day on weekdays.

I have 3 recs, one extremely strong one from my Eng teacher, one strong one from biology teacher, and another outstanding one from my internship professor
Essays are very strong and show my passions/who I am very well

Yes, my gpa is mediocre, and yes my subject tests are fairly average. However, my parents have been out of work for ~6-7 years now, and now I basically have to pay for whatever pursuits I want to do. I work 2-4 hours on weekdays and have to help my brother with hw/take care of family, so I basically start hw/studying at around 8-9pm each night if I'm lucky. I pay for most of my activities, or find scholarships/grants. I put this for additional info on my common app. So please, chance me (:
