Hey everyone,
I am Andrew Taylor-Shaut, I am a freshman in the College of Arts & Sciences. I am majoring in Sociology and Integrative Physiology, while also getting a minor in Business and Media, Arts & Technology. I am in the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. I live in Cheyenne Arapaho hall basement. Ask me if you have any questions regarding any of my courses, fraternal life, living on campus right by Farrand Field, or any potential questions you have about UC Boulder. Also check out the potential freshman class of next fall group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CUBoulder2018/ See you out here,
From Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

I’m an out of state junior in high school. CU Boulder really interests me, as I love the outdoors, and skiing. I hope to major in Environmental Engineering, and I know Boulder has a good engineering department. I think I would love it there, but I’m a little worried about academics. I’m a super high achieving student (first in my class of 400, 2 years ahead in math, etc) and I was originally looking at schools like Stanford until I realized I couldn’t afford them. Obviously Boulder can’t quite match up to Stanford and the Ivies academically, do you think I would be short-changing myself? Will I still get a great education and have fun, or does Boulder’s party school reputation really play itself out for everyone?

Also, I’m looking at doing the Global Engineering RAP. Do you happen to know anything about it, or what people think of it so far?

Thanks!
