coming from an average school?

hello, everyone. I wonder if coming from an average highschool could be detrimental despite good results at SAT (I've not taken the test yet) and the other document well-rounded (excuse me i've forgot how to say them in english). As you can see, I'm not a native speaker (I'm french). So, my second question is : Is it necessary to speak fluently like a native? or being understandable for everyone will suffice. do they all speak fluently despite they are not from an english-speaking country?
thank you in advance and sorry if there are some misspelling.
(rate my english on a scale of 5, be honest please).

I don’t think coming from an average high school will hurt, as long as you have shown that you worked hard despite the high school not being great. And if you get a good SAT score, then you will be in a good position.

I do not know if you have to speak fluently like a native. Your english though is great. I am not as fluent in a second modern language as you are. Sure, you have a couple mistakes, but thats nothing to be worried about. You should be proud you know a lot of english and continue your studies.

thank you for the answer, i will keep working. it makes me more keen to study (i don’t if it’s written well but you will understand, i think.

I think you should be okay, I don’t know if they require you to speak fluent English but I do know that most colleges conduct the class in English so you still have to know English to a large extent. Je donne tu 3/5 pour votre l’anglais (I give you a 3/5 for your English). Ha, Your English is probably better than my french.
