Coming from out of state?

<p>So I'm applying to a few UCs from Washington State. Of course, I have heard how hard it can be for out of state people to join the UC system. Will it be really tough for me to get into a school like UCR? </p>

<p>Anyone have any stories concerning people they know (or you yourself ^.^) trying to get into a UC school, especially UCR, as a non-resident?</p>

<p>P.S. Is the political science department any good there?</p>

<p>Well you need to have a minimum of a 3.4 UC GPA instead of 3.0. And you're SAT score should be a bit higher than their average I would assume.</p>
