Hey everyone, it's time for an update to the SAT Operating System (TI-89 version only).

I was going through Barron's SAT Math Workbook and it has made me realize the importance of knowing whether or not if a triangle is real. Currently, there is not a feature in SAT OS that does this - Good News => It's coming soon!

P.S - Isn't Barron's SAT Math Workbook GREAT? Sure it is!

Programmer1234, if I use your program, will I be able to use all the normal stuff on my Ti 89 as well? I just want to use your OS as a backup, but I definetly need to be able to use the features I already have, since I am more comfortable with them.

Oh definitely - There are "return" and "exit" buttons in every feature of the OS to instantly return to your home calculator, as well as a built-in feature to return to the "home" calculator from within the OS itself.

Programmer1324 set up the uptade quick because I got to practice with it b4 the exam, btw where can I download ur program, I ordered my TI titanium, and cant wait wait to try it out.

FOr sat math does the answer come instantanously or is there lag time?

It depends on how values you enter into the software... if you give it one value for a variable, then it will probably take forever and a day...

However, if you give it like two or three, it should be instantaneous, depending on which function you are using.

man this is so dumb. Using a calculator PROGRAM to see if a triangle is real! Its a matter of simple addition, the sum of any two sides has to be greater than the third! its that simple, and you don't need a$150 calculator to tell you that!

it would take longer, since you have to turn the calc on, access the program, punch the numbers in and then wait for the program to do its calculation. pencil and paper is much easier.

quick! is 3-4-5 a triangle? of course! how bout 2-3-10? no way!
that wasn't hard, was it?

If you wanted to know if any (if at all) combinations were actually triangles, that would take more than 19 seconds of thinking/calculating time (for most people). All I am trying to do is save you time, that's all.

==============================

This for the TI-89 version, not the 83+ version

Before you complete the following steps, you must know how to transfer programs/software to your calculator:

1.) Make sure that TI-Connect is installed.
2.) Right click on the files that you want to send to your calculator (you should see the option "send to TI-Device...")
3.) Click that option and wait for the dialog to appear.
4.) Make sure that all of the files that you want to send appear in the dialog and that they are being transferred to the correct directory/memory type (RAM/ROM)
5.) Send them! :D

Once you have downloaded SAT_OS, just unzip the copytoh89.zip file contents to a folder on your computer. Next copy the appropriate .89 asembly files to your calculator "main" folder.

After that, unzip the contents of the sat_os.zip file to a folder on your computer. Copy all of the contents of that folder to your calculator (except for the screenshots and the README file - just the .89p program files) using a linking cable and TI-Connect.
