COMM 10 notes (Prof Suman)

I'm taking this class right now, and let's just say that it's boring. And what's worse is that it's not hard, either. It's all factual recall (let's formally rename every common phenomena we know). And none of the material is in any book; you basically have to pick up everything he says, word for word.

With that said, I have notes all typed up (most people bring laptops to class), and I just want another set to check against mine just in case I messed something up. Would anybody like to trade? Or to offer their old notes?

It'd really help a lot. I'm not looking to "use" anyone, so please don't think of this as such =)

Doubtful. If not use - probably, humiliate and leave them hanging about 3 hours before the exam if only to jeopardize that person and to use the curve to your advantage. I've known one too many like you - it's the reason I study alone.

Wait so... you probably created an account today and you're asking our board members for their notes so you can "compare" them with yours?

I don't think so Jody!

alrite..well im more legit so someone give me the notes now or ill kill you all

I'm willing to buy (good) notes for this class, if anyone has taken it in the past etc.

email journeyloaded at yahoo if you have an offer please. :)

take your own?

he speaks in such an outlined format that it's not hard to follow at all. you'll learn a lot more with your own notes.

just because other profs use powerpoints doesn't mean that writing notes for yourself isn't a valuable idea.

It's a waste of time.

no, not when your entire grade depends on your lecture notes because there is no textbook and discussions aren't useful/required.

how are you supposed to learn without taking your own notes, if the notes for the class ARE essentially the textbook?

i mean, unless you have a photographic memory, taking notes is the best way to master the material.

I have notes but they are from Fall. I am willing to do a good deed. lol I just want to know why you didn't pay attention in class. I handwrote everything and then typed it up. It took me a long time. Anywho. Whatevs. I think I just changed my mind. lol

Oh and if you dont do the reading and just depend on the notes you are so not going to do good in the class. :-)

oh hmm i should finish my book then... bleh.

yah, i've been handwriting my notes but he goes so fast i need to type them up to make them organized!

Yea. The final was like 85% Taking Sides last Fall. I don't know if it will be the same. So now you have a heads up. :)

oh wow... thanks!!!

Not that it's any of your business, but I've had to miss a couple of lectures for reasons beyond my control. I need notes from those days and I am willing to BUY some to supplement my own. Not just looking to freeload like the OP. So many people in that class use old notes to help study. What's so wrong with that?
