comm. college to university ?

<p>ok so right now I'm on my 2nd semester at the community college I am going to with a "liberal arts" major at the moment because I am unsure about what I want to major in. I got some questions that I need answering. At the moment I am thinking about going into the computer field such as network admin, system admin, IT security, or electrical engineering that type of stuff not coding and sitting in a cube all day, I want a major where I am working with things. </p>

<p>1) should I choose to get an AA degree or a AS degree while I am here and in what.</p>

<p>the only AA degree my school offers in that area is: computer information systems</p>

<p>but for AS degrees they have: COMPUTER INFORMATION ADMINISTRATOR,COMPUTER ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY TRANSFER OPTION, Information Technology Security, NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR GENERAL NETWORKING OPTION</p>

<p>what should I do? I am really interested in the security AS but I dont think that is transferable.</p>

<p>any help?</p>

<p>You need to make an appointment with the transfer counselor at your CC and find out which of the programs offered there are best for transfer into the kind of program you are looking for.</p>
