I'm planning to take Comm Studies 10 in the fall to satisfy my GE requirement, but I would like to know more specific details about it before I actually enroll in it. Is it hard? What do you do in this class?

go to lecture

take notes

read books

go to (optional) discussion

take a midterm, write a paper, take a final

not hard like, calculus hard, but it is a weeder aside from being a GE. do not slack or it will bite you in the butt.

TAKE GOOD NOTES and if you miss a lecture, get notes from someone. and review them. a lot. and go to section, even though it's optional, to get the study guides and such and to keep you on track.

an easy class if you stay with it and give it a good effort. lots of memorization, but the material is interesting and suman is a rather entertaining prof.

Ugh, don't you want to take something easier or fun-ner than Comm 10 for your GE?! I mean, it's not like it's a prerequisite for your major. If you're interested in Comm, I'd jump the gamut and take an upper-div course. For instance, instead of suffering through Comm 10, I sat in on Media and Propaganda; enjoyed it but got over it and pursued something else.
