Commended?

<p>What does getting commended by NMSF mean?
Is it just getting like a praise or something?</p>

<p>Yeah, it’s like a pat on the back for scoring high, but not quite high enough for the actual awards. I think around 50k students are commended, as compared to 16k SFs</p>

<p>Yea, 34,000 are commended, and than 16,000 are Semi and 15,000 are finalists.</p>

<p>Commended you get a lil plaque and stuff, but I mean its still nice if you can get it but doesn’t really mean you get any scholarship money from NMS and prolly won’t get any scholarships from colleges like you would if you were semi finalist or finalist.</p>

<p>Congratulations. It means that you scored above 200 which translates into a more or less 2000 on your future SAT.
