I know everything's done and all I can do is wait but I need to take my mind off things so I hope you can comment on my interview.

I think it was really good but then again, I can't be so sure. Plus, I've heard that the interview doesn't carry much weight, but what about an adcom interview?

I live in a country with no alumni so I was contacted by Harvard and had a Skype interview with an admission officer.

The interview went swimmingly. I made her laugh a couple of times. I told her I like Family Guy and South Park and she laughed a lot.

She told me I'm an unusual applicant. She said she is going to tell the committee that I am "as terrific in person as on paper" and that she hoped they would "believe" her.

She talked about Harvard and Cambridge and how I can take classes at MIT if I want (I want to study engineering) and how I can take the bus to Boston and hang out with graduate students since I'm 21 and older than most freshmen. She told me she can give me the email of current students and faculty so that I can talk to them and ask my questions.

After the interview, I wanted to write a thank you email and it took me a long time to finish because I was thinking about the words I wanted to say. After I sent the email I realized that she had sent me an email right after the interview. She thanked me for my time, said she enjoyed our conversation, and told me to keep in touch.

Oh and she told me the decisions will be made in a week and she will inform me about the decision before mid December. She said she had her fingers crossed!

So what do you think? I clearly have her vote but is it possible that the other adcoms don't agree with her?
