Comments on Pepperdine/ Santa Clara?

These are the two Christian schools I applied to. I got in to Pepperdine for bio, and am waiting on Santa Clara for bioengineering (acceptances come out tomorrow).

I live in Santa Clara and love the campus, but know next to nothing of the academics. I know absolutely nothing of Pepperdine.

Areas I would like to know more about:
-Greek life
-"Christian-ness" of the school- how religious/strict
-party scene
-local entertainment (this is mostly for Pepperdine/Malibu)
-prestige of programs
-things I should know

You will find a thread about greek life at Pepperdine on the Pepperdine page.

The campus is beautiful and, as you know, right by the beach. I would say as many students attend for the Malibu/beach environment as for the Christian atmosphere. In other words, there are a lot of off campus parties and the a lot of the students are into the So. Cal. glitzy environment. However, if you are looking for committed Christians, you will find them there also. Chapel is required. Pepperdine has a great overseas program, with many students going abroad their sophomore year. It is planned into the program and made easy if you want to go. Pepperdine owns facilities in the other countries so groups of students go together and live together. Pepperdine is known as being solid academically.
