AP Music Theory
Senior Seminar/Contemporary Literature hns
AP Statistics
AP Art History
Photography 1(s)
Digital Photography(s)
Calculus

This is my proposed senior year schedule. My question is, can this be regarded as a competetive courseload for someone who wants to major in say, Economics, Finance, etc? I have 2 slots open for more classes(including lunch). I was originally planning on taking AP Gov too but decided against it because, honestly, it seemed like too boring of a class. Do you think I made the right decision?

oh and no science for me..definitely not.

You seem fine to me. College is for taking classes that pertain to your major, not high school (though for science/engineering majors, AP sciences are good prep). Three APs, one honors, and calculus is rigorous enough, and I envy you for being able to take photography (my art teacher tried for four years to get a class, but couldn't get it approved).

thanks

yeah I'm definitely looking forward to photography. Even my school doesn't offer a few classes that I would've been more than eager to take. AP world history and courses on philosophy being two examples.

I'm in AP Gov right now and I love it so far, not boring at all if you have even a little interest and knowledge of politics. Maybe I just have a good teacher though.. who knows..

Anyway, your schedule looks good and competetive.

Are you thinking about minoring in some sort of art? You seem to be interested in it, what with music theory, art history, and photo.

Originally, I thought the class my school offered was comparative gov/politics. But I later found out that the subject material covered was only limited to the US. That was a major factor that turned me off.

actually yeah..I'm very passionate about pursuing a minor in some sort of art field. The field of ethnomusiclogy is one that has grabbed my interest.
