Commercial Banking Internship

Okay so i got an internship at a korean commercial bank in korea. this bank is one of the top commercial bank in korea. however, my mentor is not specifying what i should do... he said i should make my own goal and pursue the area that i am interested in... there is so many things to do at a commercial bank and so many things to learn... i know i cant cover everything just over 2 months.

I want to do some work that will help me get an investment banking internship for next summer... what area is there in commercial banking that will help me get a internship in I-banking?? please help me... this is just way too broad.

main things at wall street are stocks, equity funds.

at commercial banks, people work on loans, savings, deposit, foreign exchange. the customers are both individuals and small businesses. of these areas, which will help me the most experience-wise, if any.

You cant really say which will help the most.. just try to absorb everything possible. I would be guessing out of all the things you mentioned it would be loans, savings with small businesses. BTW I msged you with a question.
