Commiseration Thread for October SAT IIs

Who else is taking them in October? I've barely studied at all, I need to stop procrastinating. I am taking:

Math II
US History
Literature

Shooting for 800s on all, but especially on math, as it's my weakness (unlike a lot of CCers) What about you?

Got my 800 in Lit! Definitely doable. Easy schmeasy.

Math II
Spanish

Same as you Butternut, also aiming for 800s (to compliment my 800s in Physics and Chemistry)

But, I may not take USH, depending on how I feel

Haha, I don't think anyone goes in hoping for less than an 800. Congrats to both of you on getting 800s in something. I'm still waiting for one to pop up on my score report. :) But yeah, I should get off of Facebook and go study.

Hows the weather down there, hookem?

(800th post, yay!)

Bumping since we're two weeks away. Fear is a powerful motivator to study...

Im taking Math II, Chem, and Bio. I'm not sure I can get 800s on all 3 of them though. Chem and Math should be fairly easy, but Bio is gonna take some work. I know its one of the easiest tests, but I haven't had bio since freshman year and I don't remember any of it.

I'm taking Chem and Lit. I'm using Barron's to prep. My science teacher's horrible and i barely learned anything in Chem last year. I'm not sure about Lit either, my friend took it in June and got a 620. I heard it's very subjective.
@Hookem 168, is there a specific format that you did your lit test to get a 800? or are you just super at interpreting poems how SAT wants you to?

I am taking both levels Math II and Literature. The latter - for the first time ever. jitters :D

I don't think I'm taking USH anymore. I don't need 5 subject tests, and I don't have time to study up and get a 750+ on it

You only need 3 tests at the most, right lolcats? I'd take just the one and spend the rest of my Saturday elsewhere. :)

I took the subject tests in Jan., and it was funny, because I was the only one taking three, so for the last hour it was just me and the proctor in the room. :)

Nah, I need 4 for Columbia and Pomona, and I need to take Math 2 (required). Since that would leave with only math/science tests, I think Literature will balance it out

Wow, I didn't know they required 4. I always thought the most anyone required was 3.

And assuming your username is a reference to what I think it is, my all time favorite pic is Communist cat « Lolcats ‘n’ Funny Pictures of Cats - I Can Has Cheezburger?

math II & lit

yay!

^^ haha Butternut, I haven't seen that one before, but it's great :) Indeed that is what my name refers to.

I got my 800 in ush - Advice: use barrons for practice tests (redic hard, I got less than half right on each) and amsco for info.

USH and Physics

I think it is going to end up being Math II, US History, and Physics. Not looking forward to the last one.

stares at admission ticket

I'm taking Math 2, Chemistry, and Literature. All of them retakes, how awesome is that? sigh

Chem and retaking French (from a 590. I am beast.)

Gonna dieeeee. I barely did a fraction of the Chem prep I planned to do. :/

Lol, I did literature, and got a 660 on a practice test. I realized it was too subjective for me at this point in my high school career. I couldn't handle all the second guessing as a result of stress and nervousness. Physics seems easier than chemistry, since chemistry requires you to remember the oxidation numbers of transition elements and the characteristics of compound you have never heard about, while physics is all simple concepts and clear formulas.
