<p>I want to apply to UPENN early- and i think i should qualify for aid- but i'm scared. My parents are divorced and my mom makes okay but not great money- and my faother doesn't make alot. But he is worried that the equity in thier home will make my inelegable? what have your financial aid experiences been>?</p>
<p>The equity in your father's home will be an asset an calculated in determining the amount of aid the school beleives that you will need. Even if he is cash poor, if he is "house rich", it could mean your not being eligible for aid. </p>
<p>As you already know FA will want to see the finances of both your parents (maybe even your step parents if applicable to the extent to which your parents have benefitted from the marriage). </p>
<p>Since you seem to have some financial uncertanties, ED may not be the best choice for you.</p>
