Committed (verbally) now what!

I can only speak for my sons sport (lacrosse) but most of the top Nescac schools he was in talks with said they will have their completed roster by Sept. So there was some pressure for sure. That said, the school my son committed. to was his top pick all along so it worked out for him as he had wished. It is not to be taken lightly and as with a coach and his word, I advised my son to be sure…as his word should be golden too. He seemed sure and is very excited. We can never be sure who else might have come into the picture but he felt this school was a great fit on many levels…I think they “know” when its right.

If the sport allows time to visit schools in the fall and schedule OV visits…then by all means they should. Each sport is different but the top four Nescac’s he was interested in were heavy into the recruiting for the 2014’s and several of his friends had already made their decisions, so I will not lie by saying there wasn’t a little bit of pressure. Good luck!
