CommomApp problem HELP where to put down EA for the main part

"Optional Declaration of Early Decision/Early Action/Restrictive Early Action. Complete this section ONLY if you are applying to one or more colleges under
an early plan. It is your responsibility to follow that college’s instructions regarding early admission, including obtaining and submitting any ED/EA/REA form provided
by that college. Do NOT complete this ED/EA/REA section on copies of your application submitted to colleges for Regular Decision or Rolling Admission."

this section in seen in the print preview of the CommonApp and on Stanford's supp it says this part must be the same as what I put on the supp (in this case EA) However, I do not know where to fill it out...

anyone know? it's not in the bio, address, future plans, etc....sections

Please, the deadline's approaching soon

you can’t fill it out in the common app form itself - you select it on the page the commonapp site takes you after you login - it shows the list of colleges you have currently selected (maybe you’ve only selected Stanford to date) and you choose the early option there.
It doesn’t show on the print preview, because that’s common to all the colleges you apply to.
It’s confusing, I know.

It gets filled in when you press submit. Thats why you do not
get to see it yet.

A new page appears and asks that you choose which colleges
you are applying early or RD etc.

It then automatically fills that field up based on your choices on the
submit page.

same thing happened to me.
After I submitted Stanford’s early action, I got a check mark
on “restrictive early action” from the supplement form, but still
doesn’t show on the print review of common application form.

The label on the envelope does say Early Action or Regular Decision. You have to check which one you are applying before giving the form to your Counselor/Teacher.
