Common Ap, Awards/Honors

When it says don't enter information on seperate lines, what's that mean exactly. I had awards listed like:

asdkjldkj, asdasdasd, asdasd,

but it looks all bunched up. Further, it looks like there's a ton of room on the pdf, so can I just enter:

asdjdjkhd
akjdhaksjdhkasjdhjka"
asldkjdj

?

Thanks

OMFG dude i got the asdasdasd award too!

real help would be better

I guess if it fits and it looks fine on the PDF, you should do it on separate lines... I only have 3 awards so I guess that's what I'll do.

How'd you get the asdafasd award by the way?

Yeah, I can't really imagine doing it like

asdlfjksdf, fdafdf, fddfsas.

I always do

-asdfdfsdf
-asdfdffdsa0
-asdfhja

I emailed commoanpp help asking the same question and he said as long as it's fine on the PDF it doesn't matter. I don't know WHY it says otherwise then. But still, I have asked many an adcom and they all seem to not really care about format. I mean really, this is their job, and they want the best students. Formatting says nothing about your personality or intelligence.

I would do it like

-a
-b
-c

if I were you though (heh that's what I'm doing). It looks a little long on my application since I have almost 40 lines....

What do you mean "40 lines"?! Surely not 40 or so awards?!

Yeah about 40 awards. About 6-8 are not real "awards" but actually like scores on the state math competition and the AMC, but there's nowhere else on the application to put them, so I just phrase them as awards since some of them are like "highest in state" or like "4th place statewide."

I wish I had that many awards/honors/"highest in state"s.
