Well my question is while filling out the Common ap do I have to apply for financial aid from each school separately or by filling it out am I automatically applied for financial aid for every school.

Do you NEED financial aid…or do you want to be considered for it? If so, check YES.

I need Financial aid but what I mean to say is that is all I have to do on the common ap I feel as if I’m missing things and it’s important that I apply for financial aid.

NO…you are not automatically applying for financial aid.

You need to go to EACH college website (that you are interested in applying to) and look at their financial aid section. You will need to complete a FAFSA form (available on Jan 1, 2012), and if your school requires it you may need to complete a CSS Profile. YOU NEED TO READ THE REQUIREMENTS on each website as they vary.

MOST IMPORTANT…read the DEADLINES for submission of the financial aid application materials…the FAFSA/Profile and any other supporting information the school requires.

In addition, if you are apply for merit scholarships…make sure you fulfill any application requirements for those…and again…on time.

Thank you Mr. Thumper you’ve been a great help.

Not a Mr…but you are welcome…JUST make sure you read your college financial aid section VERY carefully.
