Regular Princeton Application-- I like the essay topics this year

They're basically the same questions, because the supplement covers everything that the common app doesn't. The essay topics on the common app are more open, so you can technically still answer a pton question on it.

But the pton app is prettier.

Well also the Princeton ap asks for two mini-essays (250 wc) and the common app doesn't really

But you have the Pton supplement to the common app that asks for the mini-essays.

Yea the supplement will DEFINITELY ask for those mini essays. No way you're missing out on any of the questions lol.

I know the Pton app is prettier, I used it too, but I'm just pointing out that content-wise, they're pretty much the same.

The Princeton app makes you feel happier. It doesn't feel like such a chore. And the teacher recs are nicer.

Does anyone have last year's princeton app?

The new one's not up, but I would like to see the general layout because they change little from year to year.

The new one is up...or at least, I assume so since people have been talking about the new essay topics.

Is the App out or not? and if so, if i live in the midwest when should I expect mine in the mail?

Oh it's online, but if you're waiting for the mail version, you have about another month to go!

Thanks! Would anyone mind posting the essay prompts since I do not want to register, etc. yet?

They're in another thread already:

Does Princeton prefer online rather than paper? Does it prefer its own application rather than common application?

I would just do the Pton app. You have nothing to lose other than extra time filling out you name, birthdate, parents' names, etc.

Yeah I am doing the Pton app. Since the paper app isn't out yet, I started to apply online and then printed it to see what it looked like. Man, 14 pages! It was really hard for me to read my information. Is this what adcom officers will see, or will they get a different version? I am starting to change my mind about online app. and probably will switch to paper. Will Pton frown on paper app.?

Do the adcoms read your app from the comp or do they print it out and read it? Dude, I would not want to be an admissions person..they look like a pain to read

Oh btw, is the supplement even out? I went to common app to get it and it said "come back later, its being revised" or something like that

I don't think the supplement is out yet.

Yea the printout version is HORRIBLE to read, and if you want paragraphs in your essays you better teach yourself some html.

probably does the trick

But I applied online, didn't use html, had squished up essays and still got in, so no, they don't discriminate. You can apply with whatever you're comfortable with.
