<p>I know I am super late to this game but I just want to make sure my topic is acceptable. The prompt: Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again? I am from a small, southern, & very religious town & in middle school one of my best friends told me & one other (we were like the 3 amigos) that she was atheist. At that time (I know this sounds crazy) we didn't know anyone else who was openly atheist, especially not a close friend. My Christian friend decided that she didn't want to be friends with our other friend anymore because she would somehow make us nonreligious and would be devilish & tried to get me to do the same. I didn't agree with her and kept being friends with our atheist friend. Is this topic at least on the right track? I am trying to find a way to bend it to fit the prompt more too, so any ideas or feedback is appreciated!</p>
<p>I like it. A situation like that in such a conservative atmosphere at such a young age takes some strength.</p>
<p>just describe why this was the right choice like making you look like a nice person who instead of turning your back to an atheist, you try to convert the atheist through being friends</p>
