Common App -- ACT Score not sure if I reported correctly

Hi all,

I am just another stressed senior going through the regular app season.
I don’t know if I am being paranoid but I am really worried right now because I am not sure if I reported my ACT “Highest English/Writing Combined Score” correctly.
I got a 34 on my English, 33 on my reading, and a 9 (out of 12) for my writing score.
I talked to my counselor about this before my earlies and she said to just put a 34 (as my English score was a 34). The ACT does not provide a combined score for the English/writing section since the writing scores are out a 12. The Common App specifically asks for a score out a 36, so I didn’t really have a choice.

I submitted 5 apps with these self-reported scores (after I sent them my official reports through SAT and ACT). Should I just delete these scores and move on with applying to other schools? Will I be “red-flagged” by college admission officers if they see that my “Highest English/Writing Combined Score” wasn’t reported correctly? How should I fix this problem? I feel like if I email them I will look like I made a careless mistake. (Or am I just being paranoid and should stop worrying – as most colleges do not even look at self-reported scores).
