common app- activities section

<p>hey guys, i just wanna know how you guys are exactly describing your activities on the common app. for example: </p>

<p>"Position Held" would you put: Secretary or "Secretary of National Honor Society"
and then for details would it be "Secretary of National Honor Society" ? </p>

<p>and also.. how long are your descriptions? are you guys doing it like
Secretary. Help take attendance and participate in local charities. <--- something like that? </p>

<p>For the position held, i mentioned my club name with the position. So I named it as “Science Bowl Team Captain” or whatever it was. Then for details and accomplishments I listed team placements in competitions and what I did. So for my volunteer work, I tried to be specific and cover the tasks I did instead of repeating my position/club name. Hope this helps.</p>
