common app. additional Ill chance you back

Ok I have a ton of stuff I want to put in the additional info part.

I am definitely including my resume which goes into detail about my service experience

but i have a few essays from the last time around that talk about each experience
1. service trip to armenia (homeland) working with orphans .....heritage
2. essay about project picasso an art therapy group at childrens hopsital
3.. essay about refugee family I mentored for a year
4. Why I want to double major in public health/cognitive science - dream to work in
afganistan to decrease child birth morality
5. foundraiser I ran earning over 3000 for local charity

Any opinion on whether I should should not upload any of these?

which one?
I dont want a bunch of mediocre essays I want one thats fantastic...which one sounds the most interesting/impressive

ps applying to NYU and NU from SLU with a 3.48 act 31 so my essays have to be stand out to give me even half a chance

haven’t the deadlines passed?

im a transfer…

All of the topics sound good, I think the most important thing is choosing the one you feel conveys who you are in a passionate and compelling way. Which one do you think has has had the most impact on you? Try to make your essay reflect your growth as a person. The one about your double major seems a bit redundant as I assume your schools want you to write about your major choices on their supplements. You have a lot of material to work with and your essay topics definitely have the potential to be very captivating. Good luck!

If you’re still willing to chance me, here are my stats:

Applying to: Brown, USC, Pitzer College, Claremont McKenna College, and Whittier College
Transferring from: A WA state CC
College GPA: 3.94 (I have one B due to personal circumstances which I explain on my apps)
High School GPA: 3.6 with a steady upward trend
SAT/ ACT: 29 but I’m transferring with 60 units so it doesn’t really matter
EC: Fairly limited but have volunteered at an elementary school for the past 8 years
Essays: Strong; 8.5-9/10
Letters of Rec: Fantastic
Additional Info: I have two W’s for very good reasons that I explained on my app. I withdrew from my original university, took a year off, and went to a CC to save money and time.

EDIT: I’ll also be transferring with my AA.

should all this info have been in your essays/short answers? keep the additional info list short and sweet. i wrote like a paragraph about some extenuating circumstances. and the additional info section is definitely not the place to attach another essay.

Which one are you the most passionate about? If you’re equally passionate about all them, then I’d go with #3.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/883226-chance-meek-young-hopeful-will-chance-back.html

I agree with melonbread. I really just think its a space to explain circumstances, not sell oneself more (unless they ask for you to upload a resume).

Goldfinch-
Your GPA is great… .definitely up in the right range.
You seems to have taken an alternate route which when it comes to the claremont schools may put you at an advantage they are always looking for diversity and different types of students.

I interviewed at pitzer last year and I would say that they more than any of the other schools your looking at will really take into account who you are not just the numbers so make sure you spend enough time making your essays really stand out.

make sure they are unique!!

Brown…I would say a reach
USC…low low reach
Pitzer College…match IF and ONLY IF you create a GREAT app. which can set you apart
Claremont McKenna…match
Whittier College (sorry i know absolutely nothing about wittier…

Seriously I wish you the best of luck thank you so much for responding…your answer was very thorough and helpful.
