Common App Additional Info. Would this be an okay thing to add?

"Near the end of my junior year, my father told my family and I that we were going to move to "X" city and attend "X" High School for the 2014-2015 school year. For this reason, I did not run for any leadership positions at "Y" High School (the school that I attended for junior year and this year as well) for the 2014-2015 school year because I was under the assumption that I would not be attending the school and thus would not be able to fulfill any role if elected. I definitely would have liked to run for positions in Science Olympiad and Key Club if I knew that I was going to stay at "Y" High School for senior year."

I'm wondering if this sounds whiny or pretentious? I would have run for some leadership positions for this school year if I knew that I was going to stay at the same school, but I don't want to sound entitled or like I would have won an election anyhow. Is this something worthwhile to add?
Thanks!

Hmm… That’s a tough decision. I guess it depends on what schools you are applying to.

I think that may be okay to include - just condense it down to a couple sentences, like “I did not run for any leadership positions in my junior year as I was under the impression that I would be moving and attending a different high school.”

Okay, thanks. I think I am going to include in a condensed version like you said. Don’t want to annoy the Adcoms!
