<p>"Near the end of my junior year, my father told my family and I that we were going to move to "X" city and attend "X" High School for the 2014-2015 school year. For this reason, I did not run for any leadership positions at "Y" High School (the school that I attended for junior year and this year as well) for the 2014-2015 school year because I was under the assumption that I would not be attending the school and thus would not be able to fulfill any role if elected. I definitely would have liked to run for positions in Science Olympiad and Key Club if I knew that I was going to stay at "Y" High School for senior year."</p>
<p>I'm wondering if this sounds whiny or pretentious? I would have run for some leadership positions for this school year if I knew that I was going to stay at the same school, but I don't want to sound entitled or like I would have won an election anyhow. Is this something worthwhile to add?
Thanks!</p>
