Common App Additional Info?

What should you put here? An expanded EC overview? Another essay? Or what? I'm a little confused.

Thanks for your help

How about my resume' in there?

Additional info is only 2000 characters, so if you want to directly type you'd be best off just elaborating on a couple of things. You can also upload a document, but I'd only recommend doing that if your ECs really need elaboration.

I uploaded a document that has my resume and other additional information like what I did during my gap year, a fourth sibling, absence from high school for longer than two weeks etc etc.

I thought the Yale website said not to upload resumes b/c the admissions committee is used to reading things in the commonapp format. I don't have any more ECs to write down, but I had more accomplishemnts etc. than would fit in the EC spaces, so I was just going to continue them in the actualy additional info box along with some other awards.

Leaving it blank would not be a crime.

I think I heard a yale rep say the additional info section is for situations like that of Chlormel - really unusual circumstances that cant be explained elsewhere. Use your good judgment and when in doubt, ask your guidance counselor

They also said we could send in a resume if we kept it in the same format as the common app....I think. I actually used the format of an accepted student which was not the commonapp format.
