What should I write for the additional information section ?

If you were not able to fit everything in your other sections, you might want to consider adding that in your additional information. Applicants who experienced a death in the family tend to add that in the section as well. I don`t think filling out the additional information section is an obligation though.

It's not an obligation. Like kchen said, it's used if you run out of space in other sections (like for awards or activities or work experience).

It's also sometimes used to explain something you can't in other parts of your application. Death in family, disabilities, etc.

I don't think it's used as a place for another essay about yourself.

If you are submitting your common apps online, one thing you can do is to expand your activities list in the Additional Information section. The Extracurricular Activities section in the common apps is so limited you can hardly put any useful information there.

is it to use this section to explain why I can't a job or an internsheip? Oh, I am an international student livng in the US so i dont have a SS thats why I can't work or get an internship.
