I know the additional information section in the Common App is typically used for attaching resumes, explaining circumstances regarding your grades, adding more honors/extracurriculars if you didn't have room, etc., but I was wondering if I could write about something else. I've created a music program for inner city middle school students (right now it's just an after school program, but we're hoping to make it a registered nonprofit), and because of that I was chosen as a Bank of America Student Leader which is prestigious, although not very well known. As a result of the leadership program, I got an internship at a non-profit for two months over the summer. I would really like to write about each of those three things, and how one led to another and what I learned from the experiences, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate in this section. Any advice would be appreciated!

this should be your common app essay then

Yeah sure, u can mention it. Infact, u should I guess. It might help with ur college application.

I think your readers will wonder why you didn’t address this activity and the related accomplishment in the EC section of your common app.
