Common App after a gap year? And some advice?

So how does it work, when i have complete records? What about mid term grades and final reports from the counselor?

And I applied to Mount Holyoke and they rejected me. I plan to re apply (NOT as a transfer student), do you think I have a chance? Here's what i'm going to add to my app: a 95.9 GPA and several awards received after i submitted my app, including the highest one given by my school. plus i'll be volunteering a lot during my gap year. And i'll work on a better essay too, i guess.

I'm not submitting SAT scores though. Smith accepted me already but i can't afford it so...

I'll be trying Bryn Mawr, Bowdoin and Bates--you think they'll accept me? I really don't know what to think because of MHC's rejection and Smith's acceptance, which is kind of unheard of.

Thanks

What makes you think that any of those other schools will be more affordable than Smith?

I won’t be able to get an institutional grant from Smith anymore since I was not able to pass the FA requirements on time (I know, stupid me). But next year I won’t be doing the same mistake. i think we can afford it then.

Probably you did, but if not, have you asked Smith for a deferral yet? If you reapply, nothing is guaranteed - different year, different applicant pool.

Yup, I did, but unfortunately deferring won’t change anything. I’ve emailed admissions and asked whether I could re-apply next year, but I highly doubt they’ll allow me.

it looks like i can re-apply after all :)
