<p>So it could just be me, the international student not knowing all the ins and outs of the application procedure, but is it just my browser that's not functioning properly or is it Harvard's choice to only list 7 of their 48 fields of study?</p>
<p>I can't find the field of study I'm interested in, economics..</p>

<p>Maybe the website only shows broad categories…Economics is a social science… Is there an option for social sciences?</p>
<p>Harvard doesn’t recruit student’s by their “intended” major or concentration, so Admissions is not asking students to be specific and choose one of Harvard’s 48 concentrations, as admitted students are not required to do that until their sophomore year. Instead, Admissions is asking students to choose a general area of interest. So, if you are interested in Econ, I would check the box for Social Sciences.</p>
