My son is submitting the art supplement for his three common app schools. Specifically, he is submitting video of music performances. He has done everything necessary to submit the supplement online (uploaded the video for internet viewing, uploaded his music resume, etc...) and was ready to hit the button a few days ago when his private instructor informed him that he/she would rather submit the required recommendation in writing via snail mail. The online instructions ask the recommendation also be uploaded by the applicant.

My understanding is that the supplement needs to be submitted fully in one form or another...online (uploads) or snail mail paper packet (dvd/paper forms)...but given that ldboy is up against the deadline, I was thinking a hybrid approach might be necessary. He would upload the resume, include the internet link to his performances and in the section that requests the upload for the teacher recommendation, he would upload a document that states the recommendation will be arriving via snail mail.

Any help/opinions would be greatly appreciated. The only other option is to create dvds for a paper packets and fedex them to the colleges.

btw...these performances are not auditions for music departments, the art supplement is just serving as an enhancement to his application. He plans to hit open auditions for ensembles during college, but music/performance will not be his major.
