If I'm going to go into the medicine path, do I choose biology, biological sciences, or premed on the common application? What's the difference? Premed is not supposed to be a concentration or major anyway.

do not put pre-med.... that would just show ignorance if you put it....

astrife, seriously?

so whats the difference between biology and biological sciences? I think biology is the pure science and biological sciences if you want to combine biology with subjects like chemistry.

Ok... if you want to be a doctor you need to do the pre-med reqs in college. Most people major in biology, but you do not explicitly have to. By putting pre-med down as a major your telling a college you have no idea that pre-med is not a major it's just a track of classes you have to do to gain admission to medical school. Put Biological Sciences down. Your safe with that choice.

It doesn't really matter anyway. You declare a major like sophmore year anyway.

Does it matter? You can keep it blank because most schools will ask you formally on the supplement.
