I wrote a common app essay that is made of three main parts, and each part is an anecdote that I think brings out a unique and different side of me. The three sections are linked together by lyrics from a song that I wrote. These lyrics start each section.

My question is, do you think this is too radical of an essay format to use for the common app? I've asked people, including my english teacher, who have said it was clear and they understood it well, but I just wanted a general opinion.

Thanks!
