Hello.
Alright, I have taken the ACT, SAT I, and SAT II's but I want to send different combinations of different scores to different schools. For instance, I want to JUST send my ACT to Yale, but everything to Colgate. The Common App has a section for filling in test scores, and the common app locks once you send it to one college. My question is, how can I just send my ACT to some schools (the ones that allow the ACT in place of SAT I and SAT II's) and my ACT's and SAT scores to schools that to do not allow this?

Basically, my SAT II's were really bad, and I just want to send my ACT to schools that will take it in place of SAT I and SAT II's, butttt some of the schools that I am applying to do not allow this and because the common app locks after applying to one school it would seem that I would just have to fill in all of my scores and send all of them to all of mhy schools.

Is it possible to just leave the score section on the common app blank and just send the scores from collegeboard and act?

... do it on paper? Sounds like an annoying thing to figure out. You could send paper apps to the ones you only want to send the ACT scores to, if they don't mind.

What if I put all of my scores down, but only get the companies to send the scores that I want to specefic schools.
For example: Put down all my scores, but, in the case of Yale, only have ACT send my scores to Yale and not have the CollegeBoard send my scores? I mean they will the SAT II scores they will not have an official score report...so they will not count it....right?

sorry, typo above: "I mean they will SEE SAT II scores, but they will not have an official score report"...(for some reason it will not let me edit)

I am sure others have been in this situation before....
If the above posts are confusing allow me to re-word:
How do I go about sending just my ACT score to schools that take the ACT in place of the SAT I and SAT II and avoid them seeing my horrible SAT II's? Obviously, I can just not send the score report (from the collegeboard) but I will have to fill in my SAT II scores on my common app for the other schools I will be applying to that require SAT II's.

Actually, most people haven't been in this situation before. Last year, you could edit the Common App after submitting it to one college and change it for the next college. You can't do that any more.

That's why I'm suggesting you call the colleges that require SAT IIs even with the ACT, and see if you can leave it off your application if you send them the official report.
