<p>So I asked my counseler for a rec today, and she said "my part" had to be done before she could fill out the rec/forms. I had assumed she meant the whole application, and was freaking out about having to finish 3 essays tonight so my counseler could do the rec before break. But does your application really have to be in before the counseler can do the reports/whatever, or did she just mean the "school form" section of the common app, and I can continue to procrastinate on writing essays for another month?</p>
<p>Your counselor probably means you have to waive your FERPA rights, which can be done on Common APP (or Naviance if you have it). Otherwise, as long as you gave her all the papers she may ask from you (resume, transcript, etc.), she has everything she needs.</p>
