Common App Cumulative GPA?

Common app asks for my cumulative GPA. Now is this GPA an average form grd 9 to grd 12 or an average of grd 11 and grd 12 or just grade 12 ? please help!

9-12th grade

It should be an average of all your final grades in HS courses through the time you apply. For nearly all applicants that will be grades 9 through 11 or possibly through 1st semester of 12th grade, depending on when you finish your applications. Many schools report unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale on the transcript and if yours does, it should match that number.

so i am a Canadian and GPA isnt the primary way of reporting marks. we get a percentage out of a 100. Should i convert that into a gpa or should i leave it as a percentage ?

Your GC should advise you on this. Mine converted my Canadian GPA to US GPA.

^^ oh god what province do you live in ? my GC said she will make it into a gpa if other schools do it -_- i want it to state gpa !

In Toronto, ON. My GC provided US GPA and class ranking.

I believe you can write in your percentage on application if your school does not give you US GPA. Should be fine.

As far as I know, marks are severly deflated at some schools in Canada. My schools is notorious for that, which is why I made sure I got the ranking. My GC is not very knowledgeable about US colleges/admission, but is quite understanding of my needs.

I am form Brampton, ON! well considered part of GTA lol so we are in the same area! do you go to a public school or private school ? does your school primarily mark in a GPA method or did you get percentage from a 100 5 scale all throughout high school and she just converted it ?

A public school under TDSB (Toronto District School Board). My school starts from grade 10, and we get percentage marks. PM me if you have any more questions. Also, perhaps you should take this to CDN page.
