Hi,

I am currently trying to complete the Current Year Courses section of the Common Application. What do I put in the required field that asks for the credit value? There is no such thing in my country; there are, however, 3 classes on a more advanced level, 2 of which count twice when calculating the GPA. Should I just put 2 credits for those and 1 for the rest? Also, there are some classes that happen less often than others (most happen 4 periods a week, others only 2). Does that have an effect on the credits too?
Help would be great. Thanks in advance :)

credit value roughly correspond to how many hours a week. Some schools consider that 4hours (5 periods) = 1 credit, others consider that it’s the same as 4 credits…
Just write the number of hours per week, with hrs/wk next to the number.
if the class has a “weight” due to how advanced it is, add it (ex: “coef.5”)

Thanks, Myos.
The problem is that you can’t type letters in that space, only numbers, so the hrs/wk thing doesn’t work. Do you think I should add a note in the additional information section? I was gonna do that anyway because I need to explain the “weight” thing you also mentioned.
