On the printed version of the common app, there's a space on the top of the 1st page which you're supposed to fill out if you're applying Early. I was wondering how you fill out this part on the online common app.

Thanks.

bump (10 char)

When you select a school to add to your list, you specify if it is an ea/ed or rd school. The space automatically gets filled out.

Go to your “My Checklist” page. Look at the column entitled “decision plan”.

Can someone who has Personally submitted
the common app already this year (SCEA/EA/ED) kindly post if they
did anything other than the obvious selection on the checklist
(since the EA/ED declaration field in the common app remains
unfilled)…

My suspicion is that when you actually submit to the particular EA school on which you indicated the EA option on the checklist, that the system then completes that declaration field for that school as it processes that app.

It can’t complete the section until submission because the system has to allow for multiple EA apps.

However, I have no proof of that.

We need a Common App rep participating on this site! ;)
