Common App. EC essay?

This is what I wrote so far for the extracurricular essay.

I take pleasure in many different extracurricular activities such as drawing and sculpting human bodies or any living organisms, playing sports, playing musical instruments, and etc., but the one I enjoy the most is writing lyrics. Although this is done at a very personal and basic level yet, I like it immensely because it is one of a very few emotional outlets through which I let my true feelings and deepest thoughts to flow and mix naturally with music. If I get a chance, I’d also like to learn how to compose music and be able to produce my own albums in future.

What do you guys think? any grammar errors? Is it too short?
Also, in high school, I took part in sports, orchestra, clubs etc but now it's mainly stuff I do on my own. Is it okay to put them in the list of EC's in the application?

For the high school thing, it depends on what year you are. If you are anything above a second semester sophomore, I would reccommend not putting anything from high school, except if you were a superstar. (for instance, if you were all star state every year for 4 years, or found a cure for cancer)
As to your essay, it really depends where you're applying to. If you're applying to a more liberal, artsy school (Emerson, Ithaca, etc) you're going to want to make it more personal feeling and expressive. However, if you're applying to a larger university, then sure, it's good.
Good luck!
