Common App Elaborated Activity

<p>Right now I have an elaborated activity essay that is very sparse on the details, but goes deep into why I enjoy doing what I do. I figure since the hours, awards, etc. are already included in the activity section I don't need to go too in-depth again. Should I be more straightforward and simply explain what I do, or is it ok to have more explanation but miss out a couple details. Basically, if it's listed in the activities section, can I be sure that it will be noticed, or should I go safe and repeat it in my essay?</p>
