Common App essay critique? Applying to Northwestern, Wake Forest, etc.

<p>Hi! I'm looking for a final critique on my Common App essay before I apply early to Northwestern University. Specifically, I just want input from someone who is completely unacquainted with the subject matter, as an admissions officer will be—someone who's not my parent or teacher, in other words.</p>

<p>It's at 709 words right now, which I suppose is on the longish side but there's very little I could cut out at this point. It's already been through several stages of revision, so there shouldn't be any glaring errors. The essay is about my experience at a summer program I attended this June.</p>
