Common App Essay Help!

I just have no idea what to do! I was going to submit an essay I already wrote on my parents divorce and the events that followed however I feel that is overused. I was then going to write about the medical/learning problems I had to overcome as a baby/child. Although I feel like I am not getting anywhere with that. I thought about trying something with horseback riding or track since those are two sports I really love. I even tried ocean liners (stupid sure) but they are actually a big part of who I am and a huge interest I have. The questions for common app are just horrible. (in my opinion) I am just lost and I need to start applying ASAP.

Any help please?

Ocean liners are something I’m interested in too. Titanic, Lusitania, Brittanic, Andrea Doria, you name it, but would they be things that you could MAKE interesting in a paper? Things you could make engaging for the reader if they have little to no interest in ocean liners. It’s very difficult. I’d suggest not to have them be the focus of your essay.

Yeah I may not do the Ocean Liner one, since some of the schools I may submit a major essay I did last year and the focus of that paper was Ocean Liners. My teacher actually let me lecture the class last year on Lusitania it was awesome!

I think you might be able to pull something off with #3 and the horseback riding. Like your content on the back of a horse(is that how you say it?). Just a thought.
