So i have an idea for the "transition from childhood to adulthood" prompt. But I'm not sure if it is too over the line. Firstly, I want to write about the moment i REALIZED i matured, not necessarily the one moment i matured. backstory : Last year, my junior year, I dated a senior boy... who happened to be my teacher's son. Now my teacher is pretty awesome but needless to say i have tons of awkward/funny stories from that. Unfortunately, before he went to college we broke up, but I was signed up for her class for senior year (this year). Now i could have switched classes, but i truly wanted to take her class for educational reasons. I also could have just pretended like nothing ever happened, and spent my senior year in a state of awkwardness. However, I decided to maturely talk to her about it after school in the beginning of the year, and she responded extremely positively-- now it is not awkward at all and she is even writing me a rec! SO i wanted to write about how i decided to talk to her and how it required a great deal of bravery and maturity. Pros: I figured it's an interesting and unique story, and i could definitely add some funny bits -- to break from the thousands of boring essays they have to read.
cons: It is a pretty small "event" in my life, and others who answer this prompt might have amazing events like "saving someone's life" or something... (of course I'm exaggerating, but you get the point). also, i'm not sure if colleges would think my relationship with her (either before or after the break up) affected my grades in an unfair way? i.e. she favored me...? would they think that?

any feedback is much appreciated :)
