Common App Essay Question--odd situation

<p>I posted this on the common app questions thread too, but maybe someone here can help. </p>

<p>I have kind of a wierd situation. I wrote an essay for a scholarship at one school (William and Mary) and I really like it and want to use it for more than just one school. So I decided to use it for my common app main essay as well. But William and Mary ONLY accepts the common app (they don't have an individual application), and i can't send the same essay to them for the common app AND scholarship. Does anyone know if I have to send the same essay for all schools on the common app?? If so, any suggestions on what I should do?</p>

<p>The Common App website instructions mention that you can save and send different versions. You have to send one first, and then you can change it and save as new. Take a look at their instructions. Good luck!</p>
