Common app essay question.

One of the essay questions is
Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.

I've chosen to write about a significant experience, however just for clarification, does this mean the question is

Evaluate a significant experience and its impact on you.
OR
Evaluate a significant experience you have faced and its impact on you.

, because I sent my essay for critique with the latter statement as the prompt, and was told that I hadn't written enough about the 'trial/ordeal' which the words 'you have faced' would imply. When I read the question now, it seems clear that the first statement is the intended one.

ty.

anyone?..

you could do either, as long as you identify how it impacted you. thats the most important thing.

hi…

I believe its:
a significant experience
or an achievement
or a risk you have taken
or an ethical dilemma you have faced.

You don’t face a significant experience. You do face an ethical dilemma.

Hope this helps.
