Exactly how to approach the topic- Describe an issue of local , national or interntaional importance???

I am actually writing about a unique reason i got interested in engineering and its kind of linked to this issue.
I wrote it in this way
1. Narrated a small story on the reason i got interested in this issue.
2. Described more on this issue.
3. Described the impact of this issue on me(i.e. to work for it i deceided to become an engineer and how i want to study engineering)
4. Proposed a solution for this issue and how i want to contribute towards solving it in the future

Is this a nice way to approach the topic???
If not, then how should i modify it.
Could anyone suggest a better method of approaching the topic.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Plzzz help...
My essay really has to be PHENOMINALL , plzzz help!!!

A good essay can be a friendly, engaging tale. Structure is important, but it should be transparent. Unlike, say, a hs paper, you aren’t reviewed for form, but for what traits come through- maybe perspective, judgment, willingness to take on a challenge and how you grew from that. And more. But, it’s not about explaining- you want to aim for a balance of “show, not tell.” You do need to set the scene, but not every detail of the context needs to be stated- try to get to the heart of the matter easily, so as they quicky read, they see your point. Good luck.

I think the key for this essay topic is specificity. Only if you are very specific can you bring forth a voice on an “issue.” And it probably doesn’t need to be a colossal issue, even something minor could work if you are detailed enough and can engage the reader with your style and perspective.
