Common App Essay Question?

<p>Hello. I just finished my essay for the common app. I responded to the first prompt (experience). The directions for it say that it needs to be a minimum of 250 words, but it doesn't specify a maximum. My essay is almost 750 words, about 2 pages long. Some of the students at school said something about a word limit of 500. I just want to make sure. Can the common app essay be longer than 500 words, and if so, is mine (750 words) too long?</p>

<p>i think you're fine. 500 is just an estimate. make sure everything you wrote is concise and purposeful, and you're fine</p>
